The Mastisensor® test can help you identify the major pathogens responsible for mastitis. Mastitis is an inflammation of the mammary gland, most often caused by infection. It is one of the leading causes of economic losses in dairy farming, due to reduced production, impaired milk quality, treatment costs and early culling.
The test identifies eight key targets covering more than 95% of mastitis cases: Gram-positive bacteria, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Klebsiella sp., Enterococcus sp., and the blaZ gene for beta-lactam resistance.
